Upon completion of her studies in Environmental Science from the University of Leeds (BSc, PhD), Joanna joined the regulatory team of Safepharm Laboratories as a Regulatory Officer in 2006, working predominantly with the compilation of dossiers for Annex I inclusion of biocidal active substances under the Biocidal Products Directive, but also registrations under national regulations.

 

In 2009, an inter-company transfer saw Joanna move to Switzerland, where she joined the regulatory team of ex RCC Laboratories, which had become part of the Harlan Laboratories group. Here, Joanna progressed into the role of Regulatory Affairs Manager, where she was entrusted with some of the company's biggest key accounts relating to biocides. She would negotiate with the relevant authorities, co-operate closely with the laboratory staff, co-ordinate the in-house regulatory experts contributing to the dossier, and ensure the timely submission and post-care of the compiled dossiers.

 

In 2012 she moved to industry, taking on the position of Regulatory Manager at a Swiss multinational chemicals and biotechnology company. She was made predominantly responsible for the compliance of products used in EMEA water treatment. Working for industry Joanna gained valuable insight into the needs and requirements of chemical/biocide manufacturers.

 

Her work in the field of biocides for over 13 years, both within contract research organisations and industry provide her with a well-rounded understanding of the field.

Joanna helped found Arrow Regulatory GmbH in Innsbruck, in early 2020 .
